3D Frame Packed (MVC) output with CoreELEC?

Brilliant work again @Portisch , thank you maestro. Now macroblocking fix will be cherry on top , challenge accept? And then we can all dream eh

Yes boss is true but i am a dreamer & will always keep dreaming for the best outcome in any situations plus if anyone can do it is you & team CE!

Maestro Portisch I strongly believe that you CAN sort the macroblocking problem out. No problem how long it takes but, once succedeed Corelec will be perfect for everything. Thank you and thank you to all CE stuff.

Portisch is a maestro , but he can’t fix the macroblocking issue. It has to do w/the AmLogic MVC decoder, which the company has acknowledged, but has refused to fix.

Understood. This Amlogic is rubbish. Are they the only chips producers today in the world for Tv boxes?

Nope.
For example You can try a rockchip or allwinner based TV box, but there is no CE support.

If there is no support for CE, I am not interested. So it seems that Amlogic is the only one???

Those are even more crap… as far as Kodi use goes :).

So my question is: Is it possible to find a today’s box that support perfect 3D playing?

Dune or Zidoos with Realtek SOCs

But only the 4k models, as far as I am aware. I heard, the 8k models do not support 3D anymore.

CE only supports amlogic.
If You want perfect 3D, You can´t use CE.
Zidoos Player are able to play 3D, but the price …

Also the lack of Zidoo technical support for a model when the new model is on the way which is usually about a year to two years at most.

The best 3D box I ever owned was the Mede8er MED600X3D w/the Realtek 1186 SoC. This was 11-12 years ago. More recently, a box I still have, Dune Real Vision 4K Plus w/Realtek 1619DR. Now (re)trying Zidoo Z9X Pro w/1619BPD. Zidoo seems okay so far w/my testing using ZDMC 20.2 (their Kodi fork w/external playback), but what I’ve liked about Dune is ability to use official Kodi w/playercorefactory to call up external playback + being able to use the Android TV OS option.

Do you use jellyfin? You can use the jellyfin android TV APK, change setting to play using external player, and it just works. No need for ZDMC. The app opens automatically after boot. It’s really great.

Define “perfect”? I mean, it is not only the player used that provides a 3D picture?

I still have and use that box for 3D. It works at his best with .iso files. And the Amlogic stuff and the Zidoo stuff are inferior to it for 3D contents IMHO

Wish I had kept it. Only about $1000 for it off eBay now :money_mouth_face:.

1 bid so far £42.32 ($53.33), going of the other listing, I’d expect max £70 for this ($88.20). UK is a smaller place and I don’t think 3d is big here.

MED600X3D is a simple model without internal HDD, making it the most compact model. MED800X3D has space to install 3.5″ internal HDD, making it about the same size as my old MED500X . MED1000X3D also has internal HDD, but it has mechanism allowing users to replace the internal HDD (3.5″) easily
