I just wanted say that the auto update feature is working now. Had the latest dev version installed and somehow it updated me to 8.90.2.
It was broken in 8.90.0 and 8.90.1, it was only fixed after those releases.
Updating backwards from devel is intentional?
I was wondering about that as well. It might not consider the developer build as a stable release and update you to the one that is.
Yeah, I think it makes sense, easy to get back should the dev build not work for you etc.

Dev builds are not made to be used permanently, I put them out there for feedback as they contain experimental changes.
I’m curious about how it works, what’s the frequency of update check? what time the update is auto installed? etc
