Does the “installtointernal” command not work any more? My memory is a bit hazy but I switched from LibreElec a couple of months ago, I tried CoreElec on an SD card then when I was I happy I’m sure I SSH’d in and ran the “installtointernal” from the command prompt.
I’m on an S905X box, like you I didn’t use the android at all.
Connect to the box via SSH (use putty if you are using Windows)
Login as user “root”, password “coreelec”
Type the command “installtointernal” and hit enter
CoreElec will reboot and install itself into the internal memory.
If you get stuck, do a search for “installtointernal” and I’m sure it will bring up a wealth of information.
Hi ozkaradag ,
as I understand you are trying to install to internal on a Mecool K1 Pro box. I’m interested in feedback if possible, whatever the outcome, because I am pondering doing the same thing as you. I have two of those devices. Hope you succeed.
The exact system and all settings that are on the SD will be transferred to the eMMC.
Retain the SD card because if something goes wrong with the installed system on the eMMC you can restore using “installtointernal” from the running SD card system.
