The “video conversion” is an option that tells the avr to change the video signal before passing it to the tv.

from the manual in german. if that helps.
“Videokonvertierung - Das Eingangsvideosignal wird automatisch in Verbindung mit dem angeschlossenen Fernsehgerät umgewandelt.”

I have checked my Denon AVR X2300W and i believe any video conversion is off.
