I tested on my configuration and something similar is possible if you have in output configuration HDMI and 7.1 settings and True-HD passthrough disabled.
For correct usage it should be Hdmi Multi Ch PCM' and 7.1 settings or HDMI` and 2.0 depends on configuration you have.
You didn’t upload any logs so no ways to check.
But as I said in 19.4RC2 topic don’t use TrueHD sound without enabled passthrough.
On my N2+ system it plays flawless
