HDMI MULTI PCM SETUP on 905x3?

device: X96 MAX+ ,NIGHTLY COREELEC
I connect HDMI cable to my sound processor,it is meridian 621 ,support multi LPCM ,I follow this thread:https://discourse.coreelec.org/t/solved-pcm-multichannel-lpcm-with-n2/5929，but I don’t know If I should check the passthrough on or off?both have sounds,any advice?thanks.

It depends on the format you’re playing.
Formats that can be passed through, should be.
Formats that can’t, will be output as L-PCM.
