Will look into that later. At the moment I’m trying to get ng working, but there is no dv option available under coreelec settings. Placed the dovi.ko file in root partition and later in the storage partition. Both did not work… Using latest nightly build with sc2_s905x4_sei_smb_280.dtb renamed as dtb.img in root partition. Looking into this thread:
Are you sure your projector is DV capable? There is no DV option if the display doesn’t do DV handshake.
Yes dv certified. Ne works, ng with dovi.ko does not. My earlier post stated ng in the first sentence but I have corrected that to ne.
Maybe I am doing something wrong? Is there a newer dovi.ko file available somewhere?
No, but there are two versions of dovi.ko, one for S905x4 proc and one for S922x. Did you use the proper one?
Yep, second one in the link: s905x4 because that is the soc in the nokia 8010
So for the Dune homatics box r plus we just use the homatics remote.conf?
Im not sure ir is working right.
I couldn’t get mine to work on my Dune Homatics box either. Still haven’t got it to work yet either.
I think I figured out my issue. My Dune Homatics box doesn’t recognize my TV as a HDTV. I have the new TCL QM851G. Anyone know how to fix this? When I go HDR Settings in the box it’s all greyed out and unaccessible.

And fw_printenv | paste
by SSH.
I want to install coreelec on my Homatics Box R 4K Plus and I have a few questions.
1st will Coreelec 21.1.1-Omega work on my device and in installation menu should I choose Homatics Box R 4K ? because there is no plus in the name
2nd Can I use kodiplexconnect to have my plex media server data here
3rd Can I also download some themes for Kodi
For those with Nokia 8010 updated to latest ATV12 build # 7954, how is Kodi running on Android? I am wondering except for DV Profile 7 FEL support (for which there are not many media files available anyway) Kodi on Android can be a stable alternative to CE? ATV 12 should be supporting all HD audio codec passthrough & auto frame rate switching which were the main use cases for CE for a long time. Anything else which would require CE (like TV led DV)?
Define “many”. There are so many that it could take “a life time” to see them all
My understanding is that only Bluray discs have DV profile 7 FEL and that has limited application for this kind of players. Most files streamed online have either profile 8.1 for easy HDR10 compatibility or profile 5.
Who cares what’s “online”, when you state " there are not many media files available anyway"
Look at this topic to get some relevant numbers, and FYI most of them are also online
Thanks a lot for pointing me to that thread, really appreciate it. Also can you please answer the part about true TV led DV possibility in CE using Amlogic SOCs like S905x4-k
Yes, using CE -ng nightly version. It works OK on Nokia 8010.
Is there any significant difference between S905X4-J and S905X4-K SOCs?
I’m asking because in the “best devices for CoreElec” thread the Dune Homatics R 4K Plus with S905X4-J is mentioned and recommended.
I have the “same” device but with the S905X4-K Soc.
And it doesn’t work well with CoreElec at all.
Use forum search:
Thanks
So it’s not very likely that this is the reason why my device’s video playback stutters (in 3D and 2D) and CoreElec freezes and crashes during scrolling in 3D movies?
And that the BD-menu addon doesn’t work?
The difference is licensing
s905x4-
s905x4-B Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus
s905x4-H Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS,
s905x4-J Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Vision
s905x4-K Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS, Dolby Vision
The -K includes DTS license, but in CE the DD, DD+, DTS licensing doesn’t matter.
