I’m tried with ce-ng nexus and ce-ng omega, and the playback is fine, no distortion. By the way, the GUI is much faster under ce-ng and the movie doesn’t lag when displayed over it.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how do I turn on the automatic handling? Is it recommended for all series and movies to activate this and deactivate the whitelist? Thank you

I tested on windows kodi 20 stable, in Firestick 4k max, kodi 21 dovi omega quietvoid, and my tcl tv, android same quietvoid build, there was no distortion under the movies.

I have no AVR between Homatics and Tv so im going to force 12bit. I have picture with that in DV, HDR10 and SDR also without glitches. If i understand correctly, with forced 12 bit and RGB (Auto choose from player) can i get proper picture all time? I do not need to switch lower bit for non DV formats?
Sorry for this questions, but this topics: bits, color spaces and how can the player push this correctly to TV, are confusing in my head.

Do not force to 12bit RGB.
"The method Dolby Vision (DV) uses to transport the signal over HDMI is referred to as “RGB Tunneling”. The 12-bit ICtCp DV signal + Metadata is encapsulated inside the regular RGB 8-bit video signal. The DV “tunneling” carries 12-bit YCbCr 4:2:2 data in an RGB 4:4:4 8-bit transport. This is possible because both signal formats have the same 8.9 Gbps data rate requirements.
The DV metadata is encoded into the least significant bits of the chroma channels. Upon the HDMI EDID exchange (handshake), the sink (AVR, Display, or HDMI switch) signals the source that it supports Dolby Vision “tunneling”. The source then signals the sink that it’s transmitting Dolby Vision through an AVI Infoframe, which therefore triggers the Dolby Vision mode in the sink. The display DV engine extracts the components and produces a tone mapped image."

8bit RGB ->black screen, Dolby Vision mark popups on the screen, audio OK
8bit 4:4:4 → glitches on screen Hdmi signal lost randomly,
10bit and 12bit RGB → black screen, Dolby Vision mark popups on the screen, audio OK
10bit and 12 bit 4:4:4 → ok

Hey …I have problems to install IPTV simple in the latest nightly 21… The dependence is rtmp inputstream in Version 21.xxx … But this version don’t exist? Only 20.xxx ? So how can I solve this issue…?

Try to uninstall current installed version of inputstream.rtmp and install manually this before installing pvr.iptvsimple addon.

Hello, yesterday I had flashed the image of VPeter “CoreELEC-Amlogic-ne.aarch64-21.0-Omega_devel_vpeter-Generic-Homatics-YT8531-v2.img.gz” (because of the LAN problem) on my new “Dune HD Homatics Box R 4K Plus” and still the system stops after a longer idle time. I then have to reboot.
Could someone or VPeter look at my box via remote access? I would be very grateful!
(I have startet a log file…because i dont know the reason for stopping the system)

where i can find 21-omega nightlies from CE (webinterface running system) … can i enter a link there under update channel (manual update)? currently i only find kodi 20 and kodi 19 channels

I installed this image from Vpeters yesterday…is it compatible with today’s image?

It appears a massage that arm64 not native supported. Use 32 userspace … Or something like that.
