Install to Internal (eMMC) on Ugoos AM9 Pro, SK4/Pro, etc.?

If a thread for this exists somewhere, please lock this and point me there. I did search :slight_smile:.

Read at AVS forum that installing CE to internal flash/eMMC is not possible w/Android 14 on new boxes like AM9 Pro, SK4, etc. Namely dual boot, but that installing over the Android OS may be possible (but not recommended)? Just wanted to understand from CE devs if both are true, and why for latter? Thanks.

if you reformat internal partitions to be compatible it’s possible but not advisable, especially concerning regular users who can’t just use aml burn to recover

Yes, as @neqwdtkukwjaanti did point out it’s not possible anymore with Android 14 to share data on eMMC as it’s encrypted.

So tools like ceemmc become obsolete.

Use a good µSD or USB boot media and NAS.
