Looking for users with no working WiFi or BT

I’m ok with no BT as long as wifi works. Is that possible?

And I think I got cheated by the vendor. When I last purchased my s905x3 box from this aliexpress seller the wifi and wake on lan both worked. I asked for the exact same one but the wifi doesnt work and there is no wake on lan section at all!

Can you open both boxes, and compare the chips?

Ok, will check and revert.

If the hardware is the same and you are booting from an SD card, try making a clone of the the card from the working unit for the non-working unit.

that is installed to internal / emmc now. I dont have sd card. Can I extract the image from the emmc?

This w1-aml chip with 8888:8888 should be supported since next nightly 20221220. But only WiFi right now.

Check out the ceemc backup option.

WiFi works with the new nightly! Life saver. Thanks team CE!

I have a box that is looks similiar to the HK1 (S905X4) and always had issues with the built-in wifi.
I can connect to my routers 2,4Ghz but not to the 5Ghz although it is detected.

And even when connected to the 2,4Ghz I get a maximum of 2-11Mbit/s which is not enough to stream anything without buffering. Thats why I have to use an usb adapter.

I am using the latest ne nightly but ng had the same issue

Hi,

The built-in BCM4354 WLAN does not work with the CoreELEC NE.
udevadm info /sys/bus/sdio/devices/*
dmesg
(Fresh install, first boot.)

CoreELEC-Amlogic-ne.arm-20.0-Nexus_nightly_20221225-Generic.img.gz
https://pastebin.com/D47WYYpD
https://pastebin.com/6hw83Gwm

The WLAN worked fine with the CoreELEC NG release.
dmesg is collected. (Fresh install, first boot.)

CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-20.0-Nexus_nightly_20221225-Generic.img.gz
https://pastebin.com/iw0bRwpu

Hardware: X96 X4, 4GB/64GB, 1Gbps LAN

Can you check the logs for solution? Thanks.

Looks like the firmware is missing, we will need to check it in more detail.

Please test with this test image if Wifi is now working. Please also make a dmesg | paste.

I was reading this forum. I have x96 max+ device and hw device info shows that I have hit the ‘jackpot’ with JL2XX1 and W1-AML WiFi. ethernet is fine. I can give you remote SSH to this device if it would help you?

PM me if you need it.

All should be supported by NG and NE nightly already.

Hello,

i’m writing here as i have issue to have BT issues with my N2+, using the official hardkernel 5BK dongle.
BT service is enable and i can see “HarmonyHub” in the list of bluetooth devices, but when trying to connect to it i have message “operation currently not permitted” or sometimes “didn’t receive a reply”

I’m using CE 19.5 stable, N2+, boot on emmc, ethernet plugged

wifi (HK5235f) have low speed on CE(3-4MB/s), but high speed on original Android(17-20MB/s).

Since I didn’t get any answer, I started looking for solutions on my own. I’ve come up with one that probably isn’t the best, but at least it works. I have included in autostart.sh the line: systemctl restart connman
Now the same networks appear as before, but with Wlan0. In these, the association does occur and it assigns me an ip, with the Wlan1 it was impossible for the association to take place.

It looks same issue I have seen with w1-aml driver. It try to create wlan0 interface but before wlan1 interface is created it want already to start open wlan0. But this is not possible while wlan1 is created.

You have also LAN connected and you might want to share your device for debugging?

Can you also please provide a dmesg | paste with Amlogic-ng CE-20?
