P/I-frame glitch, InputStream Adaptive?
Please test this build for OSD tearing. Place the update file in /storage/.update
Thanks, thereâs no OSD tearing in this setup
Tested with SK1
Thanks for the effort, sadly I donât see much changed with this test build.
@Comma Thanks for the video and the testing. Please send your log file.
Thereâs no tearing but the scrolling isnât completely smooth
@Croco Thanks for the informationâwhat equipment are you using? I will publish an updated version later for further testing.
device: am6b+
With tomorrow nightly the GUI issues are maybe resolved.
Test build, same as next nightly: 412.58 MB file on MEGA
No more tearing. Everythingâs working great now. Thanks ![]()
Thanks, @Portisch
This test build fixes the issue for me. Great!
I would like to know if there has been any progress in investigating the bug reported in the aml-vnc topic?
Since the bug affects the CoreELEC DRM stack and not the VNC server, any feedback from the developers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
No dev does use the YouTube add-on anymore.
But itâs for sure the add-on so maybe contact the author? CE does a frame rate switch when it get need (reported).
Please read the entire post, the additions in the next post, and the attached log as well, because it clearly states that the problem is not in the YouTube add-on, but in the CEâs DRM handling.
If, after reading and interpreting the posts, you think that this bug is not in CE, then forget it. Unfortunately, investigating this bug took up more of my free time than I have these days, so I donât want to waste any more time and energy on it.
Can I use a live debug log to figure out why the system sometimes skips frames during playback?
At first I thought it was because of the SD card, but it does it on eMMC, too.
19.5 Matrix works well on the same box.

Edit
Never mind. Not important.
You might search your skipped frames somewhere? Really? With like 24 frames per second up to 60 you see a few missed ones?
If someone doesnât see such things, it makes me question their perception or quality of setup.
