I have managed to build the latest qt-everywhere for CoreELEC.

will take a look, at te moment we still use 5.6 for hyperion.ng just need to add serial module.

I believe that someone is working on adding emulators to CE that also depend on it.

Wow. Just realized there is qt-everywhere. If I compile without Kodi and install my own QT5 GUI app, will it run? Is there anything need to be done besides creating starting script for my app?
