Nintendo - NES / Famicon (FCEUmm) works fine. The other NES emulators all have issues, generally a black screen.

That’s probably the normal behavior. Out of all emulators for a specific system only one is working flawless for most devices. Just find the one, which doesn’t cause any problems, and stick with it.

@linuxlou

Since you are one of the first users with an S912 based device to report the test pattern being visible, do you mind trying the test again, and providing me a log file after running the test?

If you have time to try the “mr.boom” game addon or the nintendo emulators “Nintendo - NES / Famicon (Nestopia)” and “Nintendo - NES / Famicon (FCEUmm)

(I can provide a legal open source nintendo game rom if you need a rom to test with.)

You don’t need to play the games, I just need to know if you get a picture when trying them.

Sorry for the delay here is the link to log https://paste.kodi.tv/lerejoyanu

I know it’s been a while, but mr.boom and nestopia both showed a picture and worked ok for you?

Hi how can I help

Trying to figure out why you seem to be getting different results with retroplayer then other users with the s912.

Just want confirmation that the retroplayer emulators are working. You get a picture in nestopia and roms are playable?

Gave this a fast try on my S912 as it was quite many releases ago when I tried it the last time. VRAM test and Nestopia still gives me the same black screen but FCEUmm seemingly works.

Hi, no my results are the same as Rascal. FCEUmm runs all nes roms

The VRAM test, it worked the first time but not now?

The VRAM test is only visible when paused.I see whats causing the confusion now- Test Pattern Visible: YES should have read only when paused.

Some good news on the Retroplayer front.

I recently got a Le Potato(It’s an s905x) to test with, and was able to sort out the retroplayer black screen issue on s905x devices.

for anybody that wants to try…

edit: added the s912 builds as well. However due to lack of a s912 device to test with I don’t know if the problem is resolved for s912 as well.
