S905Y2 chipset - Is it supported?

Hi, a while back I got an Onn android box for 20 bucks, and I’m thinking of running coreelec on it. It has an Amlogic S905Y2 Quad Core A53 @1.8 gigahertz chip. I recently got a Micro USB/USB splitter, and I was wondering if it was possible to install coreelec on it in place of the stock OS.

Please follow the instructions for generic devices.

Hi, I tried following those instructions via using the reset button method but for some reason it tried (and failed to) copy the entire android OS to the USB stick and it’s now read-only. I can’t seem to unlock it no matter what, and now I need a new USB stick. I don’t know if I input the incorrect specs for the download helper or what.
Also, I can’t seem to find neither the terminal nor the boot into libreelec app on the play store.

To fix the USB stick use HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool for Windows: Download HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool 2.2.3 for Windows - Filehippo.com
