Thanks for the information. I understand that CoreELEC 21.3 Omega is EOL.
I would like to ask: has this PGS subtitle rendering issue been fixed in the latest CoreELEC 22.0 Piers alpha3?
The issue is:
A single PGS subtitle track contains both dialogue subtitles and signs/special effect subtitles. On PC Kodi and Android Kodi, both can be displayed at the same time. But on CoreELEC 21.3 with Ugoos AM6B Plus, when a signs/effect subtitle appears, the dialogue subtitle disappears.
I wonder if this is a known issue that has been fixed in CoreELEC 22, or if it is related to the Amlogic subtitle rendering path.

I understand your point. The reason I asked is that upgrading my player is a bit tricky because it is a dual-system device and I bought it pre-configured this way. I wanted to know whether this was already a known fix in CoreELEC 22, or if it is related to the Amlogic subtitle rendering path, before making changes to my current setup.
ssh connect to box.Use the CoreELEC Tool ceemmc-x, and make a Copy of internal. On a spare media SD Card/USB Drive.
You should always have a backup/copy anyways in case system crash/corrupt.
Then use the Tool again and remove from internal.
Make a clean install on new media ,and test away.
This is only a suggestion, that is the method I use on my Ugoos.
I have been having issues with audio cutting out. I just experienced it again. Afterwards, I paused, tried to resume movie, and the player seemed to crash. Here is the log, but debug logging wasn’t enabled. I can enable and try to reproduce if that would be helpful. I can also try swapping hdmi cables.
Audio cut out again, but don’t see anything in the log. I’ve had this audio dropping out issue now with multiple builds, multiple audio formats, multiple hdmi cables, different ports on my avr. I think my am6b+ or receiver must be faulty.
Use ce paste tool for logs not attach to forum. It wastes web space.
I have had issues with some DV FEL files and not supported forks. During playback, occassionally the screen will flash black for a second, and the Dolby Vision popup will show. This happens on only select few FEL files, always in the same spots, depending on the version of coreelec I am on. I have had this issue for over a year, checking these files with each release. I have tried loads of settings, removing the reciever, tried different copies of those files, and nothing has worked.
I edited your post. We only support CoreELEC, not forks. Try with latest nightly and report back

I installed CoreELEC-Amlogic-no.aarch64-22.0-Piers_nightly_20260807
-Generic.img on my new Ugoos AM6B+ with 5.15_2.6_dovi_patched_fix_fel.ko copied to /dovi.ko. It almost immediately said there was an update and I let it install it.
I played the FEL test video and I can see the woman with the camera.
The problem is that when I go to watch a “real” DV movie, it has a magenta or purple cast to it. This is on a Sony Bravia 5 TV.
The player-led option was greyed out, but I found a post explaining how to change it via ssh. That did not help, though.
Did I misunderstand about this working with CoreELEC-Amlogic-no or have I miss-configured it somehow?

Probably is Settings in Sony Bravia you need to adjust/apply.
Also what does Player LED grayed out ? SSH to enable mean?
If you are in Expert in Settings CoreELEC Dolby Vision, is toggle switch to change from TV to Player LED.
You want to use TV LED so your Bravia can do the work.
There are some excellent videos on u tube for best picture Settings to enable.
Input signal Plus enable

Even with Expert turned on, the option to toggle player-led is grayed out. I found a post were someone else was able to it change by doing
systemctl stop kodi
nano/storage/.kodi/userdata/guisettings.xml
And modify coreelec.amlogic.dolbyvisionled there, then restart kodi. Although, I just checked and that value is getting reset back to 0 after kodi is restarted.
On my Homatics box running NG, Dolby Vision movies play fine on my Bravia 5, so I don’t think it is the TV.
I have not tried using 5.15_2.6_dovi_patched.ko but I supposed that might be next step. As I said, I can see the woman in the DV demo with 5.15_2.6_dovi_patched_fix_fel.ko .
BTW, I think they made a mistake calling this version of CoreElec New Order. I keeping reading “NO” as the word no and getting confused.

When CoreELEC NO boots TV LED is default, as far as I can remember.
Why terminal and modify .xml with Nano to change settings???
Just use the remote control/navigate Kodi UI.

It’s because your TV do not support DV-LL. But you would have seen the much easier and faster when provide and read your missing debug logs…

I was trying different things to solve the magenta problem. I found another post where someone indicated that changing that helped with the problem they were having. They also were unable to change it via the UI and so edited the file. So I tried changing the file, but for me that setting just gets reset when Kodi restarts.
I did dmesg on the Coreelec box, but didn’t see anything that would tell me that. Do I need to enable a specific type of log level, or component log?
In the case of DV-LL, it does not really matter. I was only trying to change that setting to see if it helped with the magenta problem. I re-installed CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.3-Omega-Generic.img
and the problem went away, so I suppose I can stick with that for now.
I am happy to help debug the magenta issue on NO but would need guidance on how to go about it.
