Hello all,
just bought new Samsung TV and trying to pair with old Mini MX box. Problem is that I cannot map Samsungs’ Smart remote.
When I try another remote I can see codes for mapping, but nothing for Smart remote.
Can somebody point me to why my TV Box cannot catch codes form Samsung remote.

Cec is not working as I cannot couple TV with TV box as I do not know the vendor of the box.

Hi.
I think Samsung’s smart remote is not IR, hence you cannot register codes.
But your remote should be working just fine over CEC. So try different cable maybe? No need to go into Universal Remote setup on the TV it will just start to work. Check you TV and make sure AnyNet+ HDMI-CEC is On from Settings - General - External Device Manager.
