I was in the same situation so I changed my AVR to a new one.
Everything is working now with it.
Trying to sneak that past the wife as we speak!

I’ve been using Sony equipment for a long time, was always really happy with the quality and design…until this last AVR I bought recently. I feel like Sony has gone downhill, there’s some things I really dislike about it. Next time I’m going to consider Denon or Onkyo for the AVR.
