[SOLVED] Odroid N2 blank screen with auto framerate switch on

Hi!
I have strange problem with my new Odroid N2. When I play videos without auto frame rate switching - in 3840x2160 60Hz everything is working fine, but when I switch on auto refresh rate I get blank screen (videos are mostly 24hz). Just to mention that I’m using latest nightly: CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-9.2-nightly_20191015-Odroid_N2.

This is info from dispinfo while running video and there is blank screen: http://ix.io/1YTC

I tried to select 4:2:2 option in System->CoreElec settings but that gives me blank screen even in GUI and I need to manually revert it in guisettings.xml and restart.

I’m using Odroid N2 -> Denon AVR X1300W -> Panasonic tx-55fx740.

If anyone knows reason for that please share :slight_smile:

Thank you in advance and kind regards

You need to enable HDMI 2.0 on both your AVR and the TV. The port is registering as HDMI 1.4 only, and 10-bit 444 chrome at 4K24P is probably a higher bandwidth than the spec can handle.
Once HDMI 2.0 is enabled, it should work. You may need to also enable 4:2:2, but first make sure that HDMI 2.0 is enabled on both devices.

Yea, that’s it! Didn’t know it could be that simple :slight_smile:
It even works without turning on 4:2:2 setting.
Thank you!
