Sound issues in Kodi Snes emulator addons

I’m using the inbuilt Kodi Game feature to play some emulated systems on an odroid-n2+ running CoreELEC 19.5 and most seem to work okay except for the SNES addons which has intermittent choppy sound or even no sound at all.

I’d expect this in BSnes which doesn’t run full speed anyhow, but even the Snes9X cores suffer from this. Its odd because sometimes the audio is fine, others choppy and yet others none at all.

Thanks, that wasn’t the issue as I was already using Snes9x but it seems that a “hi-res” option is enabled by default for the core which was tanking performance. Once I disabled that it seems to be running more like I’d expect.
