SSH and Ir wakeup code

I should also mention one very strange thing i have discovered…
No matter what button i press on the remote, i get that exact same value?

You need to press down key in nano editor to check if you have same variables set somewhere else too.

Doh oh yes i didnt realise that!

Ok found the details in a line that Portisch found.
Deleted it and saved.

So now just have this:

remotewakeup=‘0xbf40fe01’
decode_type=‘0x0’
remotewakeupmask=‘0xffffffff’

In hardware option it now says custom NEC

But still not working.

If you have wrong values it just can’t work. If I look through this thread I see different remotewakeup values. You need to know which one is correct.

Yes i have just rechecked by the ir sensor that setting is correct.

But no matter what button i press i get the same code? How is that?

This code looks correct and same like a remote I have here.
So on any answer or after you changed something please include a fresh log.
We can not follow your issue so you will need to help us.

https://wiki.coreelec.org/coreelec:debuglogs

And post your file

paste /flash/config.ini

Not sure how i copy the config.ini from flash, the window keeps closing ?

I think it should be clear that when buying such electronic device that some learning is needed. If something doesn’t work right from start you need to figure out what is the cause. We can help only on some technical issues not with generic use.

Yeah think ill give up on it, spent days on it already way to much hassle.
It does what i want, bugger the remote.

Ok well done absolutely nothing else since we last spoke, spent an hour or two playing with my skin and accidentally pressed the power button on the remote and turned it off while i was doing stuff, so i press the wake button and bang its working.
