Stutters with 720P Illegal Torrent Download Content

Good afternoon, I explained my problem in the previous version. My problem is that in the movies being 1080p the frequency is set to 24 hz and does not have the artifact effect but in the series that are usually 720p the frequency is set to 50 Hz and if you have the artifact effect. The series are usually in h264. Is there any problem? Thank you

@Tate20, please upload a part of file for that you have such issue.
Also describe in more detail how to reproduce it and screenshots of artfacts(if possible).
And also collect log at time you have an issue.

You have to do one of two things:

  1. Disable everything in the whitelist.
  2. Enable the resolution/refresh rates you want in the white list.
If you don’t have 720P @ 24Hz, then disable the white list.

Also make sure that refresh rate switching in turned on.

When Kodi doesn’t switch resolution/refresh rate to the correct one, you’ll get stutters.

I’m sorry for my question. at the end I have enabled all the resolutions in the whitelist and I now jump to 1080x720. it does not exist in this resolution at 24hz but I’ll see it with these little jumps in the image. thank you

Please post media info dump from the files you are talking about.
It’s very hard to understand what your problem is.

How is that information dump made?

Using MediaInfo, google it.

It looks like that has been re-encoded from 24 frames per second to 25 Frames per second which generally tends to be bad. A frame is repeated/inserted every second which can make playback jumpy. Try playing it on a PC or if your tv has a media player try that and see what it looks like.

I agree with ffimon. It’s probably the content, not CE.

then I have that problem with all the 720p videos. Thanks for your help

If in mediainfo the “original frame rate” does not match the “frame rate” you will see jumps in the picture. It is unusual to re-encode at a different frame rate but someone may not have understood the setting in the encoder. Also avoid content with variable “Frame rate mode” that also can be a problem.

As far as I know 720p@24Hz isn’t even a valid mode and therefore not supported by any TV.
So, even if it would be encoded correctly, your TV would still switch to another refresh rate.

Maybe that’s why they re-coded it to 25fps they would have been better leaving it at 24p and let it scale up to 1080p24 on the box.

Any 720p@24Hz material is upscaled on my tv to 1080p@24Hz, ie the same refresh rate. Re-coding 24fps to 25fps makes no sense to me…

This is probably because they insert in the mkv the Spanish dubbing taken from the television (25fps) in an American rip changing the header of the video stream to 25fps, that’s how they usually do fast releases.

“Yes there is a really BIG PROBLEM”

Do not post issues using illegally obtained re encoded content.

No Support

Go and post your issues on the illegal Spanish Torrent site you downloaded your crap files from.

You have wasted both Members and Devs time in trying to identify playback stutter which is totally related to the content used for playback.:rage:
