The ability to ZOOM on 2.35 aspect ratio HEVC 4k HDR10 content is just awesome!

Not too many players out there get this right…but I just ran a HDR 10 episode of mandalorian 4K HEVC with ZOOM on and it brought out so much of the detail that my 50 in TV just couldnt show in the 2.35 native aspect.

Coreelec is the best.

Assuming your TV is 4K and the file is 4K then ZOOMING is simply going to cut the left and right side of the image off, scale the image up slightly and add absolutely no more detail than was already there to begin with. In fact you could argue that by cutting the left and right side off you are actual loosing detail that the creator intended you to see.
