Have you looked under the General tab - SAT>IP Server tab?
Tried the Help button while there?
That is what I used when I created a SAT>IP output from Tvheadend.

Keeping muxes unassigned or marking them “disable” doesn’t stop TVH from checking if there’s still a signal on that mux. Mark muxes you don’t want as “ignore” and they will be skipped in idle mux scans, updates and other routines involving muxes. It’ll speed up scans and keep unnecessary RAM usage down.

Thanks for the hint … but unfortunately it is not really practical with FTA satellite channels on Astra satellites … the channels change frequencies, and thus muxes.
New channels could also be added to muxes marked as ignore.
It would of course mean knowing the mux on which each channel was broadcast.

No doubt in other situations the ‘ignore mux’ option would probably work well.

I see the section but don’t know what values to put in. Presumably I would need to install Minisatip to make it work.

And how would I access the service on my LAN? VLC?

I think you first need to lay out exactly what you are trying to do and what you expect from various settings in Tvheadend.
Specify the hardware you have and how you expect to use it.

If you do not need to create SAT>IP tuners on the LAN, then do not bother with this section.
I used it to generate SAT>IP tuners from USB tuners.
