@tele, but it works with pen also on my WD Elements Desktop HDD. It will dimm the bright light.
@whistler1967 is there any VVC sample what do play in HDR on Android?
The samples from dvb.org are all played in SDR, also on Android.
I tested h265 HDR and HDR10+ and both worked fine but the TS samples stay in SDR.
BTW: next nightly will have full support of VVC for MP4, MKV and TS include seeking!
No, on Android HDR is output as SDR with VVC. Unfortunately.
Thank you. Everything is working perfectly now. HDR is also not a problem with CoreELEC, just turn on SDR to HDR and everything works.
Okay, maybe I was too happy too soon with SDR to HDR, the colors are not right, the picture is too greenish

Will it be possible to eventually add DV support for this device, or is the SoC missing the DV licensing?
The Ugoos AM9 doesn’t have a DV-licensed SOC. Currently there aren’t any s905x5 dv-certified devices.

i am too afraid to use ceemmc with the AM9 as it states not supported. When i turn on the device, it boots android. I have a SD that contains CE, and i can boot that when i reboot from android. Is there any other way to get that working? I only want to boot CE but failback android would be nice.

I use this myself sometimes, so when I put Android on suspend (because you can’t turn it completly off on Xiaomi 3rd gen), then I use the switch and it basically cuts the power without having to always plug the oulet in and out everytime. Then you put it back on and boot on CE.
yes i usually let it on suspend but sometimes have to reboot. at the moment i reboot when it boots into android and then it starts CE. Its not a big deal but… becomes annoying with time.

One day maybe. Sadly the companies are not very cooperative sharing the information needed for faster implementation.
What information exactly would be needed?
Is there a way to install CoreELEC on EMMC so we don’t need to boot CoreELEC from microSD?
