Video playback freezes after rewind

This is easily reproducible every time I do an extended rewind and press play - the video freezes and then CE puts me on the home screen at Movies, so I presume some sort of watchdog process is intervening. One time it rebooted into safe mode but usually it just goes to Movies.

CE 9.2.2 on Minix Neo U1. All media files are on a Windows server via GigE and I’ve used iperf to verify the network perf seems Ok.

This sounds like Kodi crashed, check ~/.kodi/temp for crash logs.

I tried to use CE > System to upload crash logs but it fails every time with “failed to paste logs”.
Also I looked in WinSCP and can’t find that folder. Nothing under the share either.

OK I tried it on another box - H96 Max box (S905X3) and it crashes similarly.
This time it pasted the crash logs fine - they are at http://ix.io/2lyQ .

I’ve tried ffwd/rew/seeking the same Bluray rip on a Windows PC running Kodi (accessing the same media server) and I can’t get it to barf.
