X96 1gb/8gb S905x Remote not working

Hi guys, this is my first post. I successfully installed coreELEC 9.2.0 on my X96 1Gb ram S905x box, however, the IR remote control is not working. Fortunately I have a wireless Logitech keyboard that works. I downloaded the coreELEC 9.0.x remote files and have ssh’d the files to the appropriate folder, but still not working. What do I do now?

HI there,

I just installed Coreelec 9.2.1 to X96 mini 1GB. I copied a **“rc_maps -file” to /.config (find in this forum). Now, remote control is working proberly with the X96. But the external IR sensor (cable) does not respond to the RC. Does the external IR-Sensor need additional configuration/entries? Can anybody please help/assist?

External sensor doesn’t require additional config and works very well. Double check if you connect the sensor in the right port or maybe your ir sensor is faulty.
