X96 M200 v2 - SoC S7D S905A

Mine started.

Then only terminal sharing is disabled? Please check if playback now works.

The terminal is OK too. There was a network outage of about 10 minutes before.
Should I reboot?

Then please reboot.

Playback works now?

Oh yes. Playback has started.

Then please check more and report back so the changes could be included if all is good (different media formats, …).

They. ok A few minutes and I’ll check it on a 4k device. Now only FHD monitor is tested.

The videos start.
The CoreELEC logo is visible for a while sometimes after exiting the video.
720p-FHD-4K-HDR OK.
H264-H265-AV1-VC1 OK.
1080i OK.
The menu is very very slow, it stutters. The playback also hitches sometimes.
After 720p h264 the menu fell apart, vertical stripes appeared on it. Then the image became small (1/4)
There is no error message, Youtube videos start.

Edit:
The terminal continues to run

Is HW decoder even used?
Check with top?

Yes. All worked with HW decoders.

1080p GUI hopefully used. I guess it’s just lowest power device…

Of course the GUI is 1080p.
Should I reset the coreelec completely to default?
This is a test card.

Yes, make clean install and update with
https://test.coreelec.org/vpeter/CoreELEC-Amlogic-no.aarch64-22.0-Piers_devel_vpeter.tar

There is a fresh installation and update. Completely default.
Terminal works.

Only keymaps were added to my system.
Now the menu is fast, there are no problems, video playback is also fast. (based on a short test - the test device is again on a fhd monitor)
Let me know if there’s anything I need to do.
And until then, thank you

Well, if it works for you then all is good.

Thank you very much!
Will there be a new dtb file called S905A?
Should the terminal remain? If you don’t need it, please turn off the device

Currently there are no difference in origin dtb between x5m_bm201 and 5a_bm221.
There is only a diff CPU table used but the values are equal.
And users have no idea if X5M or 5a should be used.

Thanks, it doesn’t matter to me, I was just asking. In fact, there is not much difference. If both socs can be solved with one dtb, that’s great.

I’m done - can be turned off.
