In my case, SMB started working when I set the Minimum protocol to SMBv2 in Services/SMB client.
I’m using a LAN adapter. For testing, I switched to a Wi-Fi network. But when connected to the Wi-Fi adapter, the set-top box very often reboots when trying to play a video file via SMB or DLNA. Should I gather more details? Or is this an existing issue?
I’m trying to install CE through a USB hub and UART adapter with a SSD.When i send command adb reboot update, it goes in the recovery with multiple choices.Do you think my UART adapter with SSD is the problem?
Does the original Xiaomi remote control work on CE-NO?
I have the same problem. With Wifi 6, and 5Ghz band with large files usually restarts the box completely and when I return the wifi connection shows “failure.” Sometimes you get to start playing for a few seconds, I watch as the Video stream cache starts to fluctuate and crash total again. I can help developers if needed. Wifi and Bluetooth I think is what gives the most problems and worse work.
Yes, but you have to set up the “Intro” key with the script addon. Although I also suffer from many random disconnect issues and problems when switching between Google TV and Coreelec. I’ve also tried Fire Stick but with the same or similar problems.
Hdr Tone mapping is available in this device?
Hi deen1, Just managed to setup it up and tried to play few movies, and it all went perfect. Thank you for the guide.
Did you get the remote to work? I manage to connect it and I can navigate the gui with it but the OK button is not working properly. Do one need to config the remove layout somehow?
I have not tried connecting the original Xiaomi remote control.
For control, I use my TV remote via HDMI CEC and app Kore Official Remote for Kodi on my phone.
TV remote works fine for me also. But when I faced this issue, the steps here suggested earlier worked perfectly for me. It was shared by @vpeter here
Can you share your hwdb file?
Got my box in the mail today
I don’t know if this is transferrable or not
Hi, I’m new here. CE works quite well, not bad, although this Mi TV box is a bit sluggish. However, the biggest problem for me is the requirement to enable ADB on Android TV. I’m using Ethernet over USB and have an M2 connected with the movies I currently watching.
Of course, with USB debugging enabled, USB stops working. No Ethernet, no disks. Is there any way to use CE without ADB on this Xiaomi box?
In what position we must insert this file? And how associate it via bluetooth?I must press some key in the remote control?
Reboot_to_CoreELEC_5.0.apk
Do you have the dovi.ko for s905x5m-j/k?I got an unlock s905x5m-j pcb without firmware,it can boot coreelec no after flash the firmware of x88pro x5m. but no dv support because of no dovi.ko in the Android partition.could you send me the dovi.ko file, thx!
Of course, I use this app – using ADB on a PC for CE booting is tedious. However, this app it still forces me to enable USB Debugging. It wont work without.
Oddly enough, due to AndroidTV strange behavior, it sometimes freezes, and my Xiaomi TV Box has reset several times with USB Debugging disabled, directly to CoreElec. So, theoretically, it’s possible to run CE without all this ADB stuff.
Hi, I don’t have this device anymore and dovi.ko is linked to the version of CoreELEC, so if you use the CE-NO, you need to take the dovi.ko for this version.
If I’m not wrong, it should be the attached one, but there is a thread with all version based on CE version.
dovi.ko (429.9 KB)
dovi.ko is not necessary, it is written in the first post
how do you associate the xiaomi remote control?
