8.90.4 playback MKV frame rate and original frame rate

hi,

it seems playback is not smooth with x264 MKVs containing:

Frame rate : 25.000 FPS
Original frame rate : 23.976 (24000/1001) FPS

Sometimes i have microjudder, compared to 8.90.3 it was totally smooth.

Can i install other kodi Version or do i have to go back to 90.3?

have you enable whitelist? you need that to be able to play at the same frame rate.

yes all enabled and checked kodi log for change display framerate and it shows the right one but have microjudder. so maybe someting different is causing it.
will go back to 90.3 now.

on 90.3 no issues.
dont know if its related to kodi or not.

would be good to know if there are new problems and where. I have a lot of “Frame rate : 25.000 FPS/ Original frame rate : 23.976”-Files (but x265). Do you have a clou, @anon88919003 ?

I did not check .04 yet, but in 8.90.3 there are no problems with such files (after whitelisting of course). I check this with testfiles from time to time.

maybe a debug log from this can help developers…

well, if some logs are needed, let me know which ones. a test build with latest kodi version to compare if its kodi related would be also nice but i guess 8.90.5 will be soon available, so lets see.
the microjudder is not all the time like when i watch it on my TV.

playback on my TV all the time microjudder, playback on CE only 3 or 4 times for a few seconds.
