Hi all,
CE 21.1 Stable
Will not Reboot or Restart via the power menu. No issues restarting Kodi or rebooting via CLI.
Any ideas appreciated.
Debug Log
Seems this is a known issue:

bug
### Context
Please provide any relevant information about your setup
* Add⌠-on Version: 7.0.5 (official repo's)
* Kodi Version: 21.0
* Kodi GUI Language: English
* Operating System: Arch Linux
* Operating System Language: English
------
### Expected Behavior
If I have the youtube addon enabled, and quit kodi from the UI (or by issuing `/bin/kodi-send -a "ShutDown()"`), kodi should exit normally. Likewise, if I run the kodi binary directly, it should exit normally when I type <kbd>Ctrl-c</kbd> .
------
### Current Behavior
If I have this addon enabled, kodi will not quit, except by sending it a force quit signal (e.g. something like `killall -9 kodi`). Kodi does exit normally, however, if I disable this addon.
As the log shows, kodi gets part of the way there (for instance, the UI is completely torn down), but ultimately fails to terminate completely.
I did not see this behavior on nexus (kodi v20).
------
### Steps to Reproduce
Please provide detailed steps for reproducing the issue.
1. Enable the youtube add-on
2. Quit kodi from the UI/remote app/terminal

------
### Additional Information
It should be emphasized that this behavior did not occur with nexus. Moreover, I've noticed that enabling a select group of other addons (notably, the Twitch and Netflix addons) leads to the exact same problem.
I'm 100% sure this problem only occurs when this is the only addon enabled (Together, of course, with its dependencies, such as inputstream adaptive. I cannot reproduce the issue with only inputstream adaptive enabled.)
Reports from the forum indicate that addons can sometimes cause these types of issues. Just some examples:

A backport of this change has been requested by a some users. See Gh-113412 com⌠ments.
Crash in WeeChat which might be fixed by this: gh-116510
Comment from @bacon-cheeseburger:
> Just wanted to offer that this issue appears to impact Kodi, which has a considerable user base in the millions. The number of users affected by the problem could be quite substantial.

I had that issue on my amb6pluss too, it felt somewhat random sometimes it would hang on shutdown or restart sometimes it wouldnât.
Had to ssh and use cli when it hung.
Since then I upgraded to an am8pro and have not had this issue at all.
I thought I was an isolated case, but I have the same problem. My entire device freezes when I click on âShutdownâ. The screen doesnât turn off, itâs freezing. I have to unplug it from the socket and plug it in again.
@gregeeh when you remove the YouTube and InputStream Adaptive Addon, if itâs fixed for you ?
Because you post this:

interesting, I might be experiencing similar issue. It doesnât hang, but sometimes thereâs a short freeze before shutdown and on every shutdown regardless I get crash logs generated (will have to test if this happens with extra addons disabled).
edit: irrelevant, already fixed
oops, will double check again as Iâm already running latest build, maybe thatâs already fixed⌠thanks!
edit: yes, indeed itâs fixed, had a bunch of crash logs there, the last one was from 23.09 and not generated anymore, shutdown seems relatively instant in comparison. thanks again
No one using CE is impacted by the referenced issue.
Edit: A stable version of CE that is. In your case disable your OzWeather plugin or any SlyGuy plugins utilising the common SlyGuy proxy. One of those is hanging and preventing Kodi from shutting down cleanly.
