[Amlogic S912] Minix U9-H won't shutdown

Hi I’m having trouble with shutting down my Minix U9-H.
When I shutdown from the CoreElec menu it will go into standby mode.
The LED on the Minix itself will turn green I also have an external HDD hooked to the box and it’s power LED keeps flashing.
When I shutdown from the Android system the LED is completely off and the same with the external HDD.

What I’ve checked so far and didn’t help:

  • Kodi shutdown options
  • CoreElec USB power option in stand-by set to ‘off’

Any suggestions how to shutdown the box entirely from CoreElec?
