With the rapid development of the internet, storing one’s Blu-ray discs via network storage is becoming a trend among enthusiasts. For a one-time cost of 6,000 RMB, you can get 5PB of network storage space with unlimited speed for long-term use. However, there’s always a significant lag when mounting network drives via WebDAV to CoreELEC for playback. Currently, after using CloudDrive2 to mount network storage locally, when playing Blu-ray discs, it can normally open the Blu-ray’s simple menu within 2 seconds (under a gigabit network speed). Do the CoreELEC developers have plans to develop a virtual storage plugin optimized for network playback of Blu-ray discs to enhance the experience, such as something like vfs.iso.cache (just a name I came up with randomly, haha)?
Why would CE do such development … There is enough other things to do.
