Automatic Update with Custom Channel?

Hey Guys,
Just curious, If I can do automatic update with custom channel? I saw a guide to do manual update, input custom releases.json url and choose “update channel” and choose version to download/update. but is there any way to do auto update if any new version found on custom channel and bypass official channel?

FYI, I am using latest amlogic-ng build on S905x3 device
