Yes, backup is compatible, except for any specific setting needed for a box.
Foe example, I use same backup for my N2 and X92 devices, but add/remove some files that are (not)needed (different method for overclocking, different front display etc…)

Can you elaborate on what files are changed in your usecase?
I have different “vfd.conf” for front display, “autostart.sh” and “advancedsettings.xml”.
Each box has it’s own set of these mentioned. All rest is the same on both.
