Better Dual Boot Experience

Recently I’ve bought a Nokia Streaming Box 8010, looking for have the best of both worlds. My proyector lacks of Netflix support and present several problems with eARC, so I need to rely on an Android TV tv box for streaming apps, in another hand I’ve a huge collection of mkv remuxes with HD Audio and DV Profile 7, so I need a robust player like CoreELEC.

The thing is, for a pure user experience perspective, the current dual boot capabilities are a bit limited, specially on booting times.

I must be honest, I’ve no idea how CoreELEC runs, but I wonder, wouldn’t it be possible to display a booting menu before even Kodi starts loading? Actually you need to land on Kodi first to be able to access to reboot from eMMC option in the menu.

I know that probably that would need of make a specific interface prior to Kodi, not sure which possibilities you have here on Linux and also support HDMI CEC to be able to choose between the two options.

Just that, I would like to take the opportunity again to thanks all the CoreELEC team for all their efforts. Thanky guys!
