Sorry what is? The patch or the whole thread?
Going through the thread, i see lots of comments about wake up hence my assumption that it was at least partially about that.

First of all: Thank you very much to all of you for helping to get rid of a quite nasty issue.
With Portisch’s yesterdays version for the first time CEC works on my N2 with a Philips TV’s remote control via Marantz AVR.
Regarding wake up: So far I recognised that boot up from N2 causes TV to wake up. Shut down of Kodi causes TV to switch off.
I installed that version too and i had to switch the input only once to start the n2. At least the last 2 times it started that way.
Hello,
it will be this version works for the C2, too?
@Portisch This has solved my N2 CEC issue now. Thanks so much for this Could this get added to the next stable Release.
The fix is already some time included in the nightly so if nothing bad happen it is included in the next stable release too.
It will be in the next stable build, not in the existing one.
I’m not @TheCoolest, but can tell you confidentially the release date -> it’s exactly next day after the Stable images are finished
So now that it looks like CEC is fixed… is it possible to disable it somehow? I don’t want my N2 turning on with my TV - I have a remote I use to turn it on directly when needed.
You can turn off cec completely in config.ini file.
I’m using 9.2.2 stable on Odroid N2 and no CEC. Here’s the output of dmesg | grep cectx | paste:
Is there anything else I can do to help debug? Thanks
How is your hardware setup look like?
Please upload a complete dmesg | paste
.
And your hardware setup? How and what is connected together?
And please open a SSH connection or even better use a UART adapter if available and send this command as soon as possible:
echo 1 > /sys/class/aocec/dbg_en
Then wait for 1-2 minutes and run dmesg | paste
again, thx.
Okay ran that command, here’s the paste:
My setup is very simple. Odroid N2 connected directly to LG C8 via 3 foot HDMI cable (certified 18gps).
Probably not relevant but using 1gbs ethernet and USB3 stick for extra storage, booting directly to SD card (no EMMC).
You are sure with 9.2.1 CEC is still working? Please downgrade or create a new 9.2.1 boot media and try again. I never have seen a issue like this. Also I found some information about the C8 and firmware and broken simplink.
If this 9.2.1 is working fine please upgrade again to 9.2.2 and try again.
What is the issue actually? CEC worked fine in 9.2.1 until LG pushed a firmware update maybe 2 weeks ago at which point it stopped working. No idea if those two things are related btw because the update may have had nothing to do with CEC.
