CEEMMC not working with old CE internal install

Hi,Amlogic-ng install with existing installtointernal - #3 by Sirfon

I am running for years CoreELEC. My Z69-box stems back from the old LibreELEC days and the old installtointernal method. Thank you very much. Great Work by you.

It currently runs CoreELEC 9.2.8 non-nextgen

With the CoreELEC Omega 21.0-ng I considered a new installation, used it on a new SD-card and everythings works fine. I can switch easyl between both installations just be releasing/inserting the SD-card. Great.

Now I want to install this new CoreELEC-ng to internal to use the 32GB internal storage, use the sd card for interchangeble storage und release the sd card from the potential wear of filesystem operations.

I want to install the configured CE 21.0-ng to internal EMMC as a Single boot option. There is no Android left on the device.

When i boot the new system from SD it unfortunately doesn’t find the existing CE install and does not offer to install over it. Only dual boot is offered.

CoreELEC:~ # ceemmc -vx

Starting CoreELEC eMMC installation tool…

No CoreELEC installation found on eMMC

Install in dual boot mode, CoreELEC and Android on eMMC
Use CoreELEC data from
[1] current used SD or USB device
[2] existing backup on current used SD or USB device

Install in single boot mode not possible!

Please choose one option? [1/2]:

When I start the old internal CE 9.2.8 I have no ceemmc command it only features installtointernal

Do you have any ideas, how to circumvent this? It appears such ideas have been asked before but not answered yet.

Thank you very much for your time
