Sorry but this is at the moment beyond me as I am not that well up on Python and not a programmer. Please tell me exactly what you want me to do to help??
ATM it only works correctly if I run that original ssh command “find /storage -maxdepth 1 -type d ! -user root -exec chown -R root:root {} ;” and do then not again boot into Android or I have to run that ssh script again and as you say not practical at all. The restore-storage-permissions.service file I downloaded from github does not seem to do this at all so I changed the script in between the ’ 's to this same ssh command but that also does not work. So the file script now looks like this but it does not run that original ssh command at boot up as I hoped it would as a workaround for now.
[Unit]
Description=Restore storage permissions set by Android
DefaultDependencies=no
After=local-fs.target
Before=sysinit.target
Jeez all I am trying to do is help and get this fixed. Stop being rude to me. I am a long time CoreELEC enthusiast and even go back to helping Josh with Ember and willing to help here where I can. Grrrr what is wrong with you man ??
Lots of things. But in this case mainly lack of useful information for this particular case. All the commands to run after Android was already posted above and it is annoying to write same thing again.
Hi @frodo19, the issue definitely seems to remain on NE builds. Just watched something else tonight from broadcast TV and it’s the same at the bottom as @crazyturk says too.
vpeter, just to let you know that I updated my uGoos X4Q Extra box from 21 -ne nightly 5th May to 15th May last week and have to report that now all works perfectly, both the Simple Client and importantly the BT remote pairing. Now when I come back from an Android session the BT remote auto pairs just as though I rebooted from a previous CE session. Brilliant so thank you very much indeed for your hard work. Also the nightly has auto updated to newer versions since and all looking good.
One other thing I now do is to only use the IR remote connection not the BT remote when in Android as maybe that helps also when coming back into CE 21.
I have the same basic problem, I believe. Mainly the WIFI is about 3% normal speed. Amlogic S905X4. I revert back to stable release 21.0 and the problem is gone and normal speeds.
With latest nightly (CoreELEC-Amlogic-ne.aarch64-21.1-Omega_nightly_20240623) hardware decoder now works fine with h264 non-mod16 videos for me. No more distortion on bottom or right side of the screen. I’m using Nokia 8010 with android 12.
