CoreELEC 9.2 (Kodi 18.x - Leia) with IPTV Archive support

New. In list i heven’t token but login

no idea, tried different settings on all 4 lists, kodi, coreelec, to no avail

it does not work properly in the Televizo application,
I haven’t checked TvMate yet

2 servers of the same owner and both Flussonic, one server is working and the other is not so much

Hmm so the problem may be on the server side?

ok, i think i found something that seems to work fine.

I replaced catchup-source with catchup

from this suggestion:

THANKS AGAIN @TheCoolest

The playlist is the first url in the “normal .m3u list” list

Edit your .m3u file and replace

This:
catchup=“flussonic” timeshift=“5” catchup-days=“5”

To this:
catchup-type=“flussonic” catchup=“?utc={utc}&lutc={lutc}” catchup-days=“5”

If you have problem with archive time check this setting add it right after #EXTM3U

Something like that
#EXTM3U catchup-correction=“+1”

PVR Archive settings:
" All channels support catchup using mode “Append” "

done .

good luck…

Thanks but it didn’t help either :frowning: In PVR archive settings i haven’t option:
" All channels support catchup using mode “Append” "

I forgot that I tested kodi-19 in windows

in coreelec there is an option “Archive Type”

but I don’t know if it works, I can’t check it today

Try it with this build:

hi. @TheCoolest

it seems that the settings I wrote about last night do not work properly.

it works on android and windows kodi-19

catchup-days=“5” catchup-source=“?utc={utc}&lutc = {lutc}”
pvr settings Shift (SIPTV)

and it looks like it also works on coreelec but it cannot be scrolled and there are no additional buttons in the player

url looks like this

http://server/bla.php?login=bla&name=bla

You need to install addon to seek and pause support

The changes discussed above have been merged, and should be available after tonight.
Depending on your archive configuration, you may want to go into the settings and reconfigure them to fit your needs.
Note: A 0 days timeshift buffer option was added. If your service provides the timeshift buffer length information in the playlist, set this value to 0 days, in order for the addon to correctly determine whether the archive feature is available or not on certain channels.

@TheCoolest do you think you could add ability to save event from archive instead of play it? Kodi refused that request, they afraid licence terms. However, Tvheadend is able to save iptv streaming to disk and that’s not any problem. Also, user should now if saving is allowed or not, that’s nothing to do with Kodi.

Now I still can use ffmpeg to dump archive from server, catchup source is defined in m3u. So why not to be able to do the same from Kodi gui. What do you think? Do you agree it should not be possible with addon?

I don’t think it’s something I can add, as the modifications we made to the original iptvsimple don’t go anywhere near the actual streams.
Also, I understand Kodi’s position on this, and believe that using Tvheadend as the backend for this purpose, if you really want this functionality, is an acceptable compromise.

@giaur500, try https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=329991

It is on my todo list already for some time :frowning:

@TheCoolest I must say I don’t understand. Tvheadend is able to save: ok. Iptv addon: not ok. If it breaks any some licences, why is it available in Tvheadend. If not, why refuse to add to other addon.

@vpeter how is it suppose to work? Select event from epg and dump with ffmpeg? You need to get access to catchup source, will it be possible?

@giaur500, it works in tvheadend because functionality there is split to backend and frontend. Frontend is kodi addon which doesn’t do actual saving. Saving is done on backend (the actual server).
Because iptv simple is only addon Kodi refuses to add any functionality for saving/recording to it.

Regarding IPTV Recorder: from what I saw some show is selected from EPG grid to add to recording with ffmpeg. As I wrote I didn’t try it yet. I will one day but atm I don’t need this functionality (I’m saving stream manually with livestreamer).

Yes. But Tvheadend does not refuse to save. There’s no reason why Kodi refuses, looking at Tvheadend, nobody cares it allows to save. In my opinion, they lay it on with a trowel.

Kodi refuses to add recording functionality to addon itself. Period. I doubt this will change. Can’t you use tvheadend instead?

I think there is unofficial iptv simple addon which does have record functionality. But seems it is not maintained anymore: https://github.com/simphax/pvr.iptvsimple

Well, not really. I want dump from archive. Of course, I still can do that on my PC with ffmpeg, Kodi is not required. Catchup url is known, that’s very easy. My request is only because I think it could be very handy. There’s no reason to rip live stream actually, because I can save from archive.

Moreover, some backends like Flussonic provide url to download dvr to disk, no ffmpeg required. Shame that Kodi does not want to use all functionality provided by backend streaming servers

Hi! I can an error that
inputstream.ffmpegdirect is not installed on Kodi 19 Matrix RC1 (CoreELEC). The stream starts. How do I install this addon?

did install this addon from the repository. Current Version 1.19.
