HDR10+ not working on N2: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=332180&pid=2862456#pid2862456

Can you test whether it works in Android?
The hardware is compatible with HDR10+, but I doubt the software is.

Same here. HDR10+ content does not trigger the HDR on my tv (LG60UK6200) from N2 or VIM3.

No Dolby Vision layer on that sample!

And yes, doesn’t switch to HDR, played it in SDR and washed out on VIM3, on Apple TV 4K everything is fine, played it in HDR10.

Video #2 is the DV stream.

As I know, there is no Dolby Vision and HDR10+ on one disc, HDR10+ and HDR or Dolby Vision and HDR10 are used.

That is just simply wrong.
This is the first UHD BD title with HDR10+ and DV so your mediainfo software can’t handle it properly.

No, you are wrong.

In that case need 3 layers and we have only two. Check on Oppo 203 or other Dolby Vision compatible player because I don’t see any DV layer on that sample.

Wrong again. Only DV needs separate stream.

I just upgraded from the vero 4K to the odroid n2. I’ve noticed that the current stable build when playing files with HDR10+ it doesn’t trigger HDR on my JVC x5900, the odroid plays the file but only outputs rec 709. If I play a standard HDR it’s fine and I get BT2020.

This used to work fine on the Vero 4K

I have done some tests with the odroid N2 connected to Panasonic GX800 TV that supports Hdr, Hdr 10+ and DV…
I have used your file and also the m2ts and mkv made from the original Alita Uhd bluray…
Played both m2ts and mkv trough the odroid n2 and no hdr is outputted. Just sdr at 4k.
Played trough Mecool K1 Pro outputted HDR (of course no 10+)
Played from the Panasonic internal player using Serviio outputterd HDR 10+.
Strange behaviour of Odroid N2 that outputs no HDR.
Both Odroid and Mecool run CE 9.03 stable version.

That’s my issue as well no HDR output with HDR10+ files with N2. Works fine on my Vero 4K though

Yes, it seems to be a problem in Odroid N2 playng HDR 10+ files.

We are aware of this problem, and it’s on our todo list to look into it.

I see this behaviour also on my N2.

After rebooting CE, a BT.2020 file is played as BT.2020. When a BT.709 file is then played (without reboot) , DisplayProcessInfo shows BT.2020 and all colors are too heavy.

When after reboot at first the BT.709 file is played, then colors are ok and DisplayProcessInfo shows BT.709. But a following BT.2020 file is too dark, DisplayProcessInfo shows BT.709.

It seems to me the first played file determines BT.2020 or BT.709 for all subsequent files. An EOTF switching afterwards does not work.

Nothing similar here. Everything is OK except the HDR10+ play.
You should try a fresh install to a different media.

I can confirm, that S912 with 3.14 kernel sends HDR10 signal to the tv when playing HDR10+ content.

Same here on odroid n2
