CoreElec and HDR10+ / HDR10 Plus

Hi!
Have Panasonic 65EZ950 (HDR10+ compatible with firmware update releases yesterday!) + Samsung n950 + Beelink GT1 ultimate (corelec 9.0.3) and used Alite sample.

  • I have a HDR10+ logo on my TV when playing through TV USB.
  • I have only the HDR(PQ) logo (i.e. HDR10) when playing through Beelink.

Good to know there is a HDR10+ logo on your tv so you will be able to test HDR10+ output of CE when it is fixed.
@LeGritche: Could you share the output of dispinfo from your box?

How to do it ?

Are you familiar with ssh?

The S912 doesn’t support HDR10+, AFAIK.

No. It’s a way to communicate via servers, in my case PC <–> Beelink ?

Yes, you can check your box’ IP address in Settings/CoreELEC/network.
You have to enable ssh connection on the box in this CE settings too.
Then from your PC you can connect to it with putty if you use Windows on it.
login: root
passwd: coreelec

Do you have the command from DOS ?
Don’t bother, i’ll install putty

Could you be more specific ?
There are dozens of possibilities.
192.168.1.22 port :80 ? -----> network error, connexion refused
and where are the login/pwd ?

It uses the default SSH port - 22.
user:pass is root:coreelec

I already replied that the S912 SoC doesn’t support HDR10+.

It will in next future ?
And if no, wich box could i turn to ?

Yes, but the tv supports HDR10+ and you can see if dispinfo getting dynamic HDR support correctly or not.
Edit:
You are right, the 3.14 cannot collect those infos.

Currently the 4.9 kernel contains HDR10+ routines, so the new SoC like S922 theoretically supports it.

My friend’s Panasonic tv has just got an update, and it shows this logo when playing the Alita sample video from the internal player:

I know but not through beelink…
So Pelican, my dispinfo teached you something, taht you can explain to me ? thx

At least, the 3.14 kernel outputs HDR10 so you can enjoy the movies.
And this will not change in the foreseeable future.
The 4.9 kernel has a bug so it outputs SDR which looks very bad.

Unfortunately your dispinfo cannot contain the HDR10+ infos I wanted to see. I forgot that a new box need to run the 4.9 to get it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Ok thx. So no HDR10+ support in the future ?

Yes, as TheCoolest wrote it:
