I bought an Ugoos AM6B Plus media player and I was curious as to why Coreelec reports the CPU version as Amlogic S922X and hardware as UGOOS AM6B when the box says that the CPU version is S922X-J and the player itself is AM6B Plus. Are there multiple versions of these CPUs? Is this normal?
it just does that, nothing to worry about.
We don’t have a way to distinguish between different variations of the SoC.
-K and -J indicate additional capabilities of the SoC.
So this is normal.
The hardware line is determined by the DTB, we use the same DTB for both the AM6B and AM6B Plus, so that is why you don’t see the “Plus” in the hardware name.
Okay, thanks!
