CPM builds

it also looks like that for the first time, he released a writable image as well ?CoreELEC-Amlogic-ng.arm-21.1.1-Omega_20241209110231.A12-Generic

So it’s not a tar file to update with but a fully fledged image. Will try to write it to USB and see how it behaves.

The same way.

On another topic, this has diverged from the regular community effort for far too long. At a time when all the help we can get is small considering the amount of work the Team has in its hands this borders insult. So it’s time to cpm to decide if he has time or not to help out. One day, when you wonder how CoreELEC Team decided that it was enough and threw its hands down, you all can visit this forum in archive.org and read this thread.

I don’t think s/he cares if you archive it here but again we the fans suffer because this is only place we can freely discuss & tests.

Btw @cpm what will make you help the CE team, if we can help by donation or something?

Well, we’ve reached that point. Topic closed for now

Anyone having issues with Dolby Vision in the last few days? I think maybe LG C2 WebOS update broke it for me completely… Its all purple for me now.

Edit: Hm okay seems like the last two CPM builds have broken Dolby Vision on LG C2 with the latest WebOS firmware update… Latest CoreELEC 21-ng nightly Generic works.

EDIT:
Problem solved! This is a bit strange, but someone suggested I check if my resolution had changed because someone else was experiencing a similar issue. When I checked, the resolution hadn’t changed.

However, I decided to look at my “whitelist” of resolutions, and I noticed two “new” options at the very top that were checked. I unchecked them, and that fixed the issue for me. The odd thing is, I have no idea how these two new options appeared—checked by default—since I haven’t been in that menu for a long time. I confirmed the issue by checking them again and the problem was there again.

Until now I’m running the CPM build as was recommended on the setup guide.

Now the setup guide doesn’t really mention CPM anymore. Should I just be fine running the nightly builds? Or is there any specific reason for the CPM ones?

Thanks!
