CPU: ZTE ZXIC ZX296716 Quad-core Cor tex A53 1.5GHz supported?

Hi guys,

just a quick question about that cpu:
CPU: ZTE ZXIC ZX296716 Quad-core Cor tex A53 1.5GHz

is it possible to flash coreelec on that chip, devices that come with that chip?

would be great to know before bricking it, thx)

I’ve never heard about this ZX… chip.
Because it is the same GPU as our boxes, it MIGHT work, but it’s very possible, that it isn’t supported by CoreELEC.
I would rather pick a box, which is known to be supported.

I’d recommend to open the and look at what SoC it really uses. It’s possible that it’s Amlogic, but if it’s not, I wouldn’t risk it. It may work, but it’s unlikely to.
