Looking to pick up a Ugoos AMB6+ to use with my projector, which is projecting onto a 2.4 ratio scope screen.
Similar to how AppleTV now supports scope screens natively (eg the UI adjusts for the 2.4 scope screen ratio and scope films bought from the Apple Store fill the whole screen properly) does CoreELEC do the same?
If not, would something like the OSMC Kodi skin work or would that negate the benefits of using CoreELEC/AMB6+. I’m trying to get a Constant Image Height setup and avoid having to zoom the projector manually for each movie depending on its aspect ratio.
I have up/down buttons remapped to zoom in and zoom out my CE picture to fill whole screen as I hate black bars.
It’s cutting a bit of sides picture which some say is scandalous but I don’t really care. I have proper proportions and I like it!
My zoom is set at 1.13 permanently which covers most TV shows from apple/amazon/Netflix…
Of course much is lost, and most important loss is 1:1 original pixel ratio. Your need to not watch black bars is completely ruining original picture; but who cares about quality when you own a 65"
You’re not the only one telling me I watch wrong.
Pixel ratio blah blah blah. I know what I’ve lost and I know what I see. There’s no quality lost if I’m zooming my picture.
You don’t like it and I love it. Forget about it.
