Does NO have a different way of dealing with remotes?

I have copied my working remote.conf file from NE (21.3) to the nightly NO build but no joy. It’s in /storage/.config. Something different in NO?

[EDIT - Ignore! It works now. How frustrating is it when you don’t know what you changed! Will leave well alone now :)]

As in original post I’ve followed the guide to get a working remote.conf using the wiki linked above and all is working well on 21.3 with the file remotely copied into /storage/.config.

I’ve remote copied the exact same file into the NO nightly and get no response.

SSHing on to the box, stopping Kodi and eventlircd and then capturing the keypress is fine so the OS is capturing the event, just not processing it via remote.conf.

I get remotewakeup=’0x31cefd01’ (scan code 1fdce) when pressing the remote’s OK button. The remote.conf factory code entry is ‘factory_code = 0xfd010001’ and the entry for OK is 0xce 28 #OKAY/ENTER

So all looks ok. I’m just thinking that I’m missing a setting for the protocol type for the remote somewhere in the CE configuration?
