Can anyone check if 1917 plays correctly on 21 nightly? Turns into a slideshow if I skip chapters or seek.
It’s a fel movie and happens with multiple releases.

ok, tested it with nightly from 20240322. Same here. Movie starts fine, but after chapter skip or fast forward, picture freezes and only changes every few seconds.
have you tried it with latest 20.5 nightly?
Edit: did some further testing with latest 20.5 nightly. It’s working fine with 20.5. Problem seems to be in the 21 branch
also tested this one…
With resolution set to 1920x1080, 60 hz, cd/cs auto I get wrong colors at first start of a movie.
With resoltuion set to 3840x2160, 23,98, cd/cs auto it works flawless with CE21 nightly 20240322
Edit: Same behavior with latest 20.5 nightly
I had issues with a crappy Kingston 16 GB card in the AM6, writes were either super slow or fail completely. I also had multiple SanDisk cards failing when used as camera storage in a smartphone, I would avoid this brand.
I replaced the Kingston card with a Samsung PRO Plus 128 GB, this is working fine.
does it boot up with the sd card? does the sd card has a write protection dip switch?
does using a sd card have any benefits over the usbstick usage?
You do not occupy a USB slot
Otherwise it should be a similar experience.
I didn’t test it with 20.5 but I never had these issues when I was using it. There seems to be a regression in 21.
Hey guys, I ve been playing around with latest 21 nightly and noticed, that all DV content plays with 12 bit RGB and DV-Std BT.709. Is that the correct behavior, cause I am a bit of a noob in this DV stuff. Afaik BT.709 is a SDR colorspace. I am using TV-led, player led breaks all colors for me.
Not correct, in TV led it should be 8-bit RGB.
BT.709 vs BT.2020 is still debated. As far as I understand it should not be BT.2020 (so it leaves BT.709)
But I wouldn’t be surprised if different displays reacted differently to the BT.2020 flag.
Well all DV profiles result in 12 bit for me. Using Philips 55OLED806/12. Here’s log, where I opened all profiles of movies (MEL, FEL, 8.1 and 5) all resulting in 12 bit. https://paste.coreelec.org/UZjmGP
Player led results in 10-bit YUV422 with DV-LL BT.2020nc, but all colors are green/purple.
Something is broken. Player led should have 12-bit.
Please post dispinfo
during playback in both TV & player led.
maybe we should find a good solution that works mosrt of the time and intergrate an menu option to manually set this flag if zhe standard option wont work with a certain tv.
Cant find it in keymap editor and attaching a keyboard is not an option, where I can look for dispinfo?
UPD: Found that its executed via ssh, sorry will post soon

Can you ensure GUI is set to 2160p and 23.976 refresh rate. No resolution matching, enable refresh rate matching.
Does that work?
Very interesting that it works when your GUI resolution matches content resolution.
This seems to strengthen my theory that auto cd/cs behavior seems dependent on user settings: 1) GUI resolution, 2) content resolution, and 3) whether resolution matching is enabled.
a. If GUI resolution matches content resolution. Then no auto cd/cs. This works.
b. If GUI resolution doesn’t match content resolution, and resolution matching is disabled. Then auto cd/cs, this seems to error and colors are set incorrectly.
c. If GUI resolution doesn’t match content resolution, and resolution matching is enabled. Then no auto cd/cs, and color is set correctly.
In each of the above scenarios, auto cd/cs only kicks in on scenario b, and seems incorrect when it does.
What do you mean by resolution matching Disable GUI scaling?
No it’s the Whitelist, but I might be wrong on that, but and will need to think through that more.
For now can you try the 4K GUI with the 23.976 refresh rate, and to be
I have not set up a whitelist. Can I do some further testing?
resolution matching was on all the time with my setup, so your point b. couldn’t be the cae, or am I wrong?
