Dolby Vision for Minix U22X-J (Max) and Ugoos AM6+

Does anyone know why if I choose the TV-Led option on the AM6B+ and I’m using a Philips Hue Sync Box, I don’t get Dolby Vision (only green/pink)) but if I’m using an Oppo Clone, same setup and I have no issue with TV-led? With this setup, I can only get DV from the AM6B+ using Player Led.

Did you copy dovi.ko to .config folder?

Your oppo clone might be switching to player led on its on. Anyway to verify it’s actually tv-led?

Did this problem associated with “disable GUI scaling” ever get fixed?. I have same issue with Ugoos AB6Bplus playing DV content on Panasonic 65LZ1500B.

@R3S3T_9999 Would you mind updating your spreadsheet now that DTDL support exists in CoreELEC for ISO, BDMV, and M2TS files. DTDL is not supported on MP4, MKV, and TS files.

Yes, it’s all good when it’s just the Ugoos, the Denon avr and the LG c3. Put the hue sync box in the middle and no dice.

I’ve thought of that, I do have tvled selected, not auto on the oppo clone. Do you know if there’s a way to confirm that? The tv is an LG C3, they’re not very forthcoming with details in Europe, I can only check the hours of usage because I have an Harmony remote, otherwise, with the LG remote that comes with the device I wouldn’t be able to. I’m not sure how to confirm if the oppo is actually sending tvled, I would say so but then how would the am6b+ not be able to…

Spam the green button on lg remote while video playing.

I’d wait for more testing from more users. There are issues with MEL and fast forwarding, skipping etc.

Will give it a go when I get home. Thanks!

Issues about skipping are solved weeks ago. FFW is and will never work as it’s disabled. DV ISO MEL already works to in today nightly. There is some fix tomorrow but I guess it’s not need.

I agree with Portisch that the support exists and there’s commitment to ironing any issues solved. From my testing, I would say that support for DTDL exists for ISO, BDMV, and M2TS, but not MKV, MP4, and TS.

Edit: I also think that’s important to update the information so that individuals can make informed purchase decision and more testers help to iron out bugs faster.

You will need to share samples for each format. Short once please…

There is a DTDL TS file in

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1V-onFW4PwgKAFdVlwXeuKOnUvdZXqsY6

a DTDL Mp4 file in

Can someone dig up a MKV file with DTDL?

Edit for MKV, these links might be helpful

Edit 2: I think for MKV DTDL is technically incorrect and exists in older versions because MKVtoolnix could not properly handle conversion to STDL until Version 81.0 “Milliontown” 2023-12-02. Therefore, it seems most prudent to follow their way of handling on-the-fly conversion of improper encoded DTDL files to STDL.

Edit 3: For MP4, it might be useful to look at the muxing code from Dolby

Hi, I posted three days ago message asking if any and/or all of you guys are also experiencing the intermittent stuttering of resuming vids after pauses and upon initial play start. I wrote, “And every night I have gotten intermittent herky/jerky video combined with audio out of sync when initially starting vids or when coming out of pause.”

So umm due to lack of many responses saying yup it’s not just me am I to assume that it is mainly just me? I followed the instruction guides that were posted here on CoreELEC forums (increasing cache etc) but I still have this prob. This is the last thing preventing me from using the Ugoos as my main player. The intermittent stuttering drives me nuts  Just looking for a response that says, yup this is a problem and we can’t fix it. Cheers fellas

Hi all having a prob
Just setup a sd card and copied the g12b_s922x_minix_u22xj_max.tdb to the root folder and renamed it dtb.img. I turned of the device and powered it back up but it seems to just boot straight into android 9 not sure what I am supposed to do here to get kodi to boot

Also I noticed two files.

g12b_s922x_minix_u22xj_max.tdb
g12b_s922x_minix_u22xj_max_rev_a.tdb

Not sure which is the right one as I used the top one as the box says nothing about a rev a.

I thought putting in the as card would just boot kodi ?

Did you follow these steps?

[EDIT]
These are for Ugoos but I assume there is something similar on the minix

Audio out of sync, definitely. Happens every time. Seeking back resolves it usually. Stuttering though I’m not sure, it’s rare but seeking, again, resolves it.

I just found this addon: Kodi Wiki
https://kodi.wiki › view › Add-on:U…
Add-on:Unpause Jumpback

Give it a try, and update us if it helps. I haven’t been able to test it much.

For some reason, audio always gets out of sync with Kodi when you do passthrough. It’s been like this for years. Seeking has been the only solution I’ve found to work.
I did make some slow motion sync tests a couple days ago and while pause completely threw audio sync out of wack, seeking didn’t make it perfect either. (1 or 2 frame late or early, worse after unpause) I wonder if this is impossible to solve or nothing to do with Kodi

Tried just keeps rebooting to the minix boot screen over and over

For me whenever I get the out of sync I also get like a herky jerky video that accompanies it. So it’s easy to spot coming out of a pause. So when Dune 2 starts acting like a herky jerky camgirl vid from 10 years ago before highspeed internet it’s time to hit the back button again haha
