EDID Override - Injecting a Dolby VSVDB Block

I have same ur problem since a week ago @cpm regarding the issue even I updated it to T4 but still same issue. FYI, this issue not be solved till I do restart the device.

Unfortunately, because of this problem, I backed to nightly build till fix this problem.

I think Iā€™m the one who reported this matter.

I tried scanning my media library while playing these files and while the colors were ok, it was outputting 12bit.

What about this?

Can try this one:

Caveat as detailed on previous post.

I think I will draw a line under this now as it works fine for me and friends who use in a similar way - I will not have time going forward unfortunately to look into issues.

Thanks all for the testing and proving out the possibilities!

Yeah that works ok
Can try the build I just posted up.

Congratulations! Thanks for your amazing effort. Youā€™re probably right. Itā€™s time to start mainling this code. Itā€™s clear that your changes are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your great work. I think it fixes the issue. I played some dv movies and no more color rubbish. I will keep playing and if the issue is back I will inform you. Best regards.

Tested and it works perfectly. Now it reports 8bit. Awesome fix!

Hi is this better than T4 with 3D, VS10 etc?

Can you test 3D and report?

Thank you @cpm .
Problems solved.
If you think you can draw a line on this, yes you can, everything works as intentedā€¦
Thanks again for all your efforts and success.

this is based on T4 (hence the version name T4A) with all the same features just with a fix for issue that some people are experiencing. If everything is working fine for you in T4, then imho thereā€™s no reason to upgrade (but you can download and keep it just in case).

It fixes a fairly severe bug that disabled hardware decoding in several cases and caused a lot of random issues. Whether you want to upgrade is up to you. According to CPM, this is probably going to be the last version before it goes mainline.

by mainline, does it mean nightly or stable? Thanks

@cpm, great job and thank you again for all of the wonderful work on your enhancements to CE.

Just as a curiosity, are you still working on the dynamic conversion of HDR10+ to DV P8, or are you completely done with CE?

they are not completely separate branches, so it will/should appear in nightly first and then one day some nightly build is going to be promoted and built as ā€˜stableā€™

It will output the 4:2:0 12-bit content over HDMI as 4:2:2 in player-led mode though wonā€™t it?

4:2:0 output isnā€™t supported in 2160p at <50fps - so a 2160p23.976 output will be 12-bit 4:2:2 not 4:2:0 (though carrying 4:2:0 content vertically upsampled in chroma terms)

(Does it send ICtCp 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 12-bit tunnelled as RGB 8-bit in TV-led, or is it converted to YCbCr in the player still?)
