Excessive memory usage Kodi 22 vs Kodi 21

Not sure if this is Kodi or CoreELEC issue. I have noticed that memory usage on Kodi 22 (Piers_nightly_ 20250313) amlogic-NO.aarch64 is running at around 40%. I have a S905x4 box with 4gb ram. The exact same box running Kodi 21.2 Omega amlogic-NG uses around 17-20% of ram. My entire library consists of 2 locally attached usb drives with around 870 movies and 3150 tv episodes. These 2 coreelec systems use the same addons.
Maybe NO will use more ram than NG by default, but the usage does appear excessive on NO.
Is there any way I can identify which processes are running and how much memory each process uses when running CoreELEC? I can SSH into box no problems.

I see the memory usage by pressing “o” on remote see the “memory used” percentage.

Thx

The more it uses the better. Ram supposed to be used in full :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I’m more worry about excessive processor usage…
With ng load is 0.25. And with no I got over 1 constantly…

And the conditions are the same… Kodi does nothing just waiting for anything to be played…

How do you see this “load”. What commands are you using?

I only worry what happens if memory usage ever reached 100%, then I guess the box would reboot/hang,

Login with ssh and use top.
If you install System tools from CE repo then you have htop
You don’t need to worry about RAM. Trust me.
